Schedule: 6 Hours, Monday – Friday

Job Description:

This position supports the operations department by performing essential janitorial tasks. Our priority is ensuring the successful completion of building cleaning fostering an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment. We seek a passionate and skilled Janitor to join our exceptional team. Your role will be instrumental in creating a clean and safe environment, ensuring the utmost satisfaction for our valued clients. 

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

  • Dusting desks, chairs, counters, blinds, and furniture.

  • Clean the lobby, reception, or any other assigned areas by your supervisor.

  • Dusting.

  • Vacuuming.

  • Spot cleaning.

  • Refilling supplies and dispensers.

  • Empty wastebaskets and recycling bins.

  • Spot mop floors as necessary.

  • Wipe down tables and chairs.

  • Assist janitorial staff for special projects and perform any duties as directed by your supervisor.

  • Clean using appropriate methods, equipment, and chemicals by following our established processes and procedures.

  • Attendance and Punctuality are essential functions of the position as it requires face-to-face interaction.

  • Follow company health and safety rules and wear protective equipment when and where applicable.

  • Follow all established company policies, protocols, and guidelines.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of standard janitorial duties, cleaning techniques, products, and equipment preferred.

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.

  • Must understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires regular attendance and or physical presence at the job.

  • Occasionally requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.

  • Lift to 25 pounds unassisted.

  • Requires extensive use of hands (ability to reach over, bend and extend hands).

  • Reach above and below shoulder height, constant walking, standing in one place for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting, kneeling, etc. 

  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.

  • Use cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, and floor buffers.

  • Work in varying temperature environments (internal and external building parts).

Skills:

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Be able to work in a team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude at all times, and assist the team/department to complete goals.

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and coworkers.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service oriented.



PLEASE NOTE: Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, team members are required to work varying shifts and schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, which reflect the Company's operating requirements.
