Technician Job Responsibilities: Each one of our customers comes with a different set of responsibilities. These responsibilities will be communicated to you by management before the job begins and may change throughout the lifetime of the customer. Below is an example of common tasks that we perform.

• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Take out the trash and recycle.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Follow instructions from the management.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and high-traffic areas.
• Use cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and wet vacuums.
• Keep janitor closet organized.
• Notifies management when repairs are needed.
• Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift.
• Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Locks the doors at the end of night shifts.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Janitor Qualifications and Skills: This is a list of qualifications and skills that NSC Cleaning Technician possess.

• Works well independently and has strong time management skills.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Follows written and verbal instructions from management.
• Collaborates with other janitors and maintenance workers as needed.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, crouching, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

Position Overview

New Standard Cleaning is looking for a reliable Part-Time Overnight Team Leader to help support our commercial cleaning operations. This role combines hands-on cleaning with some leadership responsibilities such as training technicians, restocking, completing quality checks and supporting special cleaning projects.

The Team Leader helps ensure our customers receive consistent, high-quality service while also supporting our cleaning team in the field. Our work is performed after business hours, so this position takes place overnight at customer facilities.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys leading by example and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

Quality Checks

• Visit customer locations to inspect cleaning quality
• Identify areas that need improvement
• Report these to the manager

Training New Technicians

• Train new team members on cleaning procedures
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and chemicals
• Ensure technicians understand building-specific cleaning programs

Checking Punches & Covering Shifts

• Fill in when technicians call off or are on PTO
• Maintain the same service standards expected from our regular team

Restocking & Equipment Maintenance

• Restock cleaning supplies at customer locations
• Perform basic equipment maintenance such as:
• -cleaning vacuums
• -checking floor machines
• -replacing worn parts when needed

Projects & Deep Cleaning

Complete monthly deep cleaning tasks.

• Floor scrubbing
• Window cleaning
• Restroom deep cleaning
• Special customer requests

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work evening hours (Most importantly 11pm - 2am)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Cleaning experience is required. We will train the right candidate and expect this position to become full time by the end of the year.
