Job Description

The Facility Technician skillfully employs various tools and equipment to facilitate the installation and upkeep of diverse facilities. 


This encompasses responsibilities such as managing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, painting, preventive maintenance, and electrical systems. 


Additionally, the Facility Technician diligently monitors machinery and equipment, attends to repairs, and executes general maintenance tasks under scheduled or immediate requirements. 


Alongside these duties, the role may encompass essential electrical work, light structural repairs, meticulous record-keeping, and supervision and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain/Repair water piping systems, all plumbing fixtures, and appurtenances following recognized procedures.
  • Techniques of the plumbing trade as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain/repair electrically powered low-voltage systems and equipment following accepted procedures and techniques of the electrical trade as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Maintained/repaired HVAC systems equipment and perform preventive maintenance, including condenser, fan coil, AHU cleaning, and filter/belt replacement.
  • Respond to and complete applicable facilities tickets/requests.
  • Maintain equipment lists, maintenance schedules, and operations checklists/procedures as directed.
  • Maintain records/reports of activities and maintenance/repairs performed as directed.
  • Maintain inventory of assigned tools/equipment at the site.
  • Perform any other general facilities maintenance functions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position as it requires face-to-face interaction.


Qualifications:


To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Basic knowledge of standard facilities, maintenance duties, cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  • High school diploma/GED required OR equivalent work experience instead of.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as but not limited to safety data sheets (SDS), operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Be able to work in a team-oriented environment, always maintain a positive attitude, and assist the team/department to complete goals.
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and coworkers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service oriented.
  • Must communicate effectively in English with at least 70% comprehension.
  • Driver's License and Clear Driving Record (MVR).



Job Requirements:


The job requirements of this role include:


  • Requires regular attendance and physical presence at the job.
  • Fast-paced, high volume, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. 
  • Lift to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Requires extensive use of hands (ability to reach over, bend, and extend hands) 
  • Reach above and below shoulder height, constant walking, standing in one place for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting, kneeling, etc.
